San Rafael Joe's, one of Marin's oldest and most popular restaurants, is located in the heart of downtown San Rafael, at 931 4th Street.

Established in 1947, San Rafael Joe's, a veritable Marin County institution, is well-known for its old-fashioned Italian cooking, modest prices and convivial atmosphere.

Your hosts, Guido and Theresa Farina, along with their son Carlo, daughter Cynthia, and nephew Chez are the guiding forces behind the restaurant.

Joe's has grown steadily over the years and now seats 240 people, in addition to banquet/buffet/cocktail party facilities for 125. Since our recent remodeling, diners enjoy the same selection of traditional and contemporary cuisine that Joe's is known for in a sophisticated, yet relaxed setting.

With a staff of 40, San Rafael Joe's is open seven days a week, and serves more than 1000 meals every day. A favorite for business lunches, Joe's offers daily specials and prompt service. Authentic family style Italian dinners are served to our regular customers, many of whom are now in their fourth generation.
